Three common answers to questions about belt dryers

Three common answers to questions about belt dryers
1. Uneven drying or poor drying effect
Possible reasons: The material is spread too thick or unevenly, making it difficult for hot air to penetrate; The air circulation inside the dryer is not smooth (such as the fan, air outlet or filter being blocked by dust); The efficiency of the dehumidification system is low, resulting in high relative humidity in the drying room and inability to timely discharge moisture.
Solution: Use an automatic fabric dispenser to control the thickness of the material (generally recommended 5-10cm) to ensure even distribution of the material; Regularly clean the filter, fan, and air duct to ensure smooth air circulation; Check the power of the dehumidification fan, and if necessary, use a variable frequency dehumidification fan to automatically adjust the dehumidification volume according to indoor humidity.
2. The conveyor belt deviates, slips or breaks
Possible reasons: Improper adjustment of conveyor belt tension (too tight or too loose); The roller installation is not aligned, causing the conveyor belt to deviate from the center; Long term friction and wear, aging, or foreign objects such as metal fragments in the material getting stuck on the conveyor belt.
Solution: Regularly check and adjust the tension of the conveyor belt, use a tension meter to ensure moderate tension; Check the vertical alignment of the drum to ensure that the conveyor belt is installed correctly and laid flat; Add a screening device to remove foreign objects before the material enters the dryer; When cracks or severe wear are found on the conveyor belt, it should be replaced immediately.
3. Large temperature fluctuations or product contamination
Possible reasons: Damage to heating elements (such as heating tubes), scaling, or accumulation of ash in heat exchangers, resulting in slow heating or temperature loss of control; Unfiltered air intake or long-term uncleanliness of the conveyor belt can lead to dust, microorganisms, or cross contamination.
Solution: Regularly clean the heating tubes and heat exchangers (such as using descaling agents to clean scale every month or blowing dust with compressed air), and replace damaged heating elements in a timely manner; Install high-quality air filters and replace them regularly; Develop a strict cleaning plan to thoroughly clean the conveyor belt and equipment interior between drying different batches of materials to prevent cross contamination.
